The Internal Bra Technique with GalaFLEX

The Internal Bra Technique with GalaFLEX

Once the breasts have fallen, they are prone to sag again, even after a breast lift. Always looking to improve the quality and longevity of her patients’ results, Dr. Pfeifer relies on GalaFLEX absorbable surgical mesh during breast surgeries to prolong results and keep the breasts lifted.

She even recommends GalaFLEX to some primary breast augmentation patients to keep the implant in place. As the GalaFLEX absorbs over time, the internal bra takes the tension away and gives the skin a chance to heal and form.

Dr. Pfeifer answers FAQs about the internal bra technique, including:
Can you see or feel GalaFLEX after it’s placed?Does using GalaFLEX affect recovery?Who are the best candidates? What products can help enhance healing?

    Breast Lift FAQs

    Breast Lift FAQs

Breast lift patients often tell Dr. Pfeifer they’re thrilled to be going to the beach confidently or wearing clothes they didn’t want to wear before.

Understanding that once skin loses its elasticity it’ll never be strong enough to hold up the weight of the breasts on its own again, Dr. Pfeifer does everything she can to lift and support the breasts long-term.

She often uses GalaFLEX, which acts as an internal bra to support the breasts, help scars heal well, and decrease chances of the implant sagging.

Find out how to know if you need an implant with your breast lift and why Dr. Pfeifer believes bigger isn’t always better when thinking long-term.

Dr. Pfeifer answers the most common questions she hears from patients about breast lift, including but not limited to:

How long do results last?Where are incisions and scars? What kinds of bras are best for maintaining results?Should you wait until after having children to get a breast lift? How can you take care of scars for best healing?

Breast Surgery Recovery: What To Expect

Breast Surgery Recovery: What To Expect

As long as you are prepared and understand what recovery will be like ahead of time, recovery is a comfortable process. Dr. Pfeifer runs us through exactly what to expect at every stage, from how you’ll feel waking up from surgery to when you’ll see final results.

All of Dr. Pfeifer’s patients have her cell phone number and she encourages them to call any time they have questions or concerns throughout their recovery.

Dr. Pfeifer stresses the importance of avoiding strenuous exercise for the first 6 weeks because it diverts your energy away from healing, increases swelling, and prolongs how much swelling you’ll have over a longer period of time.

Dr. Pfeifer answers commonly asked questions regarding breast surgery recovery, including:
When is the first post-op appointment? How can I heal as comfortably as possible? How long does it take for swelling to go down? How much time should I take off from work? What medications can I take for pain?

    Breast Augmentation FAQs

    Breast Augmentation FAQs

The first question patients ask when considering breast augmentation is “what size implant is right for me?” The best way to find out is to schedule a consultation and try on different sizes with a specialized sizer bra, but for a rough idea before you can make it in person, Dr. Pfeifer recommends looking at before and after photos of patients with frames similar to yours.

Patients from all over the country visit Dr. Pfeifer for breast augmentation. She and her team are experienced with streamlining the journey for out-of-town patients, from communicating with their local doctors for various pre-op tests to assisting with hotel accommodations.

A primary breast augmentation typically takes about two hours, but can take longer if there’s any asymmetry. Dr. Pfeifer can make the implant pocket and place temporary sizers if it’s more difficult to find the perfect implants.

Get answers to your biggest questions surrounding breast augmentation, including:

What can I do to prepare for surgery? How are asymmetric breasts addressed?Am I a good candidate for breast augmentation? What is the price range? What financing options are available?
