Incredible programs in Full HD
I've transferred these on to a USB thumb drive and I am able to play them directly on my new 1080p HD TV. These productions are top notch, and in full HD they are stunning. Keep it up ESA and NASA - as an Astronomy teacher I couldn't buy better programming, and these are all free!
Well Worth Viewing Even If You're Not An Astrogeek!
I've been fascinated by Hubble's images since it was launched and the pictures taken after every repair and upgrade just blow me away. With the latest podcast I was able to visually explain to my granddaughter the old adage that "There are more stars in the sky than grains of sand on the Earth." The format works well, the NASA people explain things in language that the average person can understand and if you need a reason to buy a High Def monitor, this is it. "But Honey, the children will do so much better in Science class because they will benefit from the improved picture quality of the Hubble pics!"
Can't comment on the Apple TV issue since I don't own one.
How to Play on Apple TV
Your Apple TV is currently able to play video at 720 P, not 1080 P. To enable streaming/playing for Apple TV, CONTROL click on the episode and choose CONVERT FOR APPLE TV from the drop down menu that will appear. This conversion process will take a few minutes depending on your processing power due to the size of the files. The episodes will then appear in your MOVIES. Look for converted podcasts there. You'll then be able to enjoy these excellent podcasts on your Apple TV and they look great!
