Weekly go-to podcast

The Training Science podcast is one of my weekly go to podcasts. I love how the hosts explore different areas of sports science through a lens of a coach. Many insightful conversations with legends in the sport sciences and coaching. As an athlete and a coach, I love to check in every week!

Interesting and Applicable Information

This podcast looks at the science of sport, but more importantly, how it can be practically applied. As both an athlete and coach, I find the show interesting, informative and applicable.
Invitation to limit the hyberbolic tone
٢٠/١٢/١٤٤٣ هـ
This podcast seems oriented toward an audience that embraces the science of human training and development. That’s in the title. The hosts or producers use hyberbolic and sensational language in show titles and descriptions, however. For example, one episode is titled: “food is more complex than you think.” Another recent episode is titled: “the next big thing…,” and goes on to highlight ventilation as important. Please give the audience a bit more credit. In the first case, the producers are stating that their audience does not include food science researchers, biologists, nutritionists, and many more people skilled in the topic of nutrition. Or, they are stating that regardless, the hosts know more about food than any of these people (and anyone else who might listen). I imagine that is not the intended message. In the second case, with the popularity of WIM HOF, the bestselling book called “Breathe,” by James Nester, and even the slightly more obscure Buteyko method, is the audience here truly “forgetting” breath? Please, let’s sensationalize a bit less. We can welcome a sophisticated, plain, conversation on these topics, sans hyberboly.
