How Shall We Escape, if We Neglect so Great A Salvation? Hebrews 2:1-4 w/ Tommy Haynes

In this Season Finale, Josh and Tommy discuss Hebrews 2:1-4. Hebrews 2:1-4 warns believers to pay close attention to the message of salvation delivered by Jesus Christ, lest they drift away. It emphasizes the certainty of divine judgment for those who neglect this "great salvation," which was first spoken by the Lord, confirmed by witnesses, and attested through signs, wonders, and miracles by God. The rhetorical question, "How shall we escape if we neglect so great salvation?" underscores the impossibility of avoiding judgment if one disregards such a profound and divinely authenticated offer of grace. What shall I do then with Jesus? Matthew 27:15-23 w/Cody Westbrook

In Matthew 27:15-23, Pontius Pilate, the Roman governor, presents Jesus to a crowd during the Passover festival. It was customary for the governor to release a prisoner chosen by the people. Pilate offers them a choice between Jesus and Barabbas, a notorious criminal. The crowd, influenced by the chief priests and elders, calls for Barabbas to be released. Pilate, puzzled and hesitant, asks, "What shall I do then with Jesus, who is called the Messiah?" The crowd responds, "Crucify him!" Despite his misgivings, Pilate ultimately succumbs to their demand, setting the stage for Jesus' crucifixion.
