IT'S GETTING HARDER TO REMEMBER THE 90'S
Scott "Shifty" MacDonald had spent the 1990's in his hometown of Detroit drumming for the band BIG BLOCK, an alternative rock band leaning towards groups of the alt rock explosion, likened to Soul Asylum with a country rock swagger. He relives the 90's Alternative scene. A stroll down memory lane through heartfelt interviews with musicians, scene dignitaries and stories of the myopic drive to make it as a musician and the insane events that unfolded!

Love this podcast. Thankful that we have a bunch of people being interviewed that can remember it for the rest of us who were there.

Regardless of whether or not you were around the Detroit music scene in the 90’s, This podcast is worth the listen. Shifty’s sense of humor and wit shine through in these stories. I’ve laughed out loud quite a few times. Fun for Gen Xers and some good learning moments for younger listeners. Scott is a fine musician, and his band, Big Block was as real deal authentic as it gets. I’m biased because Scott is a good friend from wayyyyyy back, but I think you’ll become a fan and get hooked like I have. And if you don’t know Big Block’s music, find it. You’ll thank me later. Cheers! Great work, Shifty!
