Ep. 7 (English) - Tony Beltramelli, Co-founder & CEO Uizard

We fell in love with Uizard about nine months ago.  Uizard is an AI-enabled design tool for non-designers. It allows you to design great mockups, prototypes, websites, and generally interfaces in minutes. Even if you have no design experience. A couple of the coolest features are: its ability to turn a sketch you made on a napkin onto a beautiful digital design, and one that they are just rolling out called Autodesigner that converts text to design.  After using Uizard for a couple of months, we included the company in a long-form paper that we wrote about Adobe back in November of last year. This prompted the beginning of our conversation with Tony Belltranelli, co-founder and CEO of Uizard, and a Forbes 30 under 30 leader.  He is an incredibly thoughtful founder, engineer and AI expert. Very focused on achieving and maintaining product-market fit, and creating the opportunity for a fast growth curve. In this conversation he shares his journey to Uizard, and some of his key learnings from building and growing a product-led and community-driven company. And by the way… Autodesigner has been in beta for a few weeks, so please, make sure you check it out! Ep. 5 (English) - Luciana Reznik, Serial Entrepreneur, Forbes 30 under 30, Trailblazer in Digital and Distributed Technologies

Hello and welcome to today's conversation with Luciana Reznik. She is a successful serial entrepreneur and "Forbes 30 under 30" recipient. She grew her first company, Wolox, a digital transformation strategy, design and development firm, to over 400 employees with a strong regional presence across Latin America and the US. After selling it to Accenture, and a short-lived break, she went back to work, and launched her new company - Cedalio - last year in the decentralized storage space.  In her conversation with Trish, she gives us some great insights around the need and power of creating flexible abstraction layers to simplify development of decentralized apps, specifically around data storage. She will also give you a good idea of the speed at which the industry evolves by the fact that Cedalio is already pivoting its strategy to include emerging technologies that are solidifying their offering, even just 6 months after the company was founded.  As a serial entrepreneur Luciana gives us some great pointers as to how to build a company focused on innovation and product creation. They wrap up the conversation talking about Cedalio's growth strategy, focusing on the key stages of their Go To Market strategy. We hope you enjoy the conversation! https://www.linkedin.com/in/lucianareznik/ https://cedalio.com/ https://www.ikigaipartner.com/

Ep. 3 (English) - David True, FinTech Guru, Payments Geek and Broadly Curious

Today Trish has the opportunity to chat with David True. He is a self-described "Fintech Geek, and Payments Guru", with over 25 years of experience in the industry. He has his own payments consulting firm - Paygility, is the President of NYPay, a payments association based in NYC, and advises and mentors numerous companies and startups. In reality, both David and Trish are FinTech and Payments geeks, and correspondingly, they have a jolly good time "geeking out" together, something that they do on a regular basis. They talk about David's experience working at AmEx, and how it was at Amex that he learned to always focus on the customer experience and the value proposition, and how he brings this to every engagement.  They also discuss some of the recurring questions that Paygility's customers keep bringing up over the years, along some of the most challenging questions they have had to tackle recently. David provides some great insights about Zelle - the banks' competitor to Venmo, and more generally around account-to-account payments. They even touch on FedNow - the Fed's real-time 24/7/365 payment system - and how its implementation may, or may not, increase the speed of potential bank runs.  If you are a payments geek, you will really enjoy this conversation. But even if you are just broadly curious, you will be able to follow the conversation, and learn a few new things.   Ikigai Curious Webiste: ikigaipartner.com David True's LinkedIn Profile: https://www.linkedin.com/in/dptrue/ Paygility Advisors: https://paygility.com NYPay: https://nypay.org Link to LinkedIn post we read during the episode: https://www.linkedin.com/posts/dptrue_fednow-activity-7040054185102344192-93Fr?utm_source=share&utm_medium=member_desktop

Ep. 1 (English) - What is this podcast all about? If you are interested in building great digital experiences, the latest technologies and how they can impact human behavior - this podcast is for you!

We are two women - Gretchen Rodriguez and Trish Burgess - with deep experience in building, launching and growing digital products, specially in the eCommerce, FinTech and digital identity spaces.  If you are interested in creating digital experiences that will benefit the person using them, building communities, the creator and gig economies, Web3, blockchain, AI or how diversity enriches products - this podcast is for you. Of course, if we find people or companies or technologies outside of these areas that are creating waves, and that we find intriguing, we will also tackle those! We are immensely curious, and the best way that works for us to learn, to connect the dots, and have new ideas, is by connecting with others. This is already a big part of what we do, so with this podcast, we are just trying to bring this to a more public forum, so that others can come along in our journey.  This is also the origin of the name of the podcast. Ikigai roughly means ‘the thing that you live for’ or ‘the reason you get up in the morning’. A big part of what gets us up in the morning is making those human connections, to collaborate, to build together. Really, to be curious together. This is ‘Ikigai Curious’.  Our plan is to have conversations with friends and acquaintances about topics that they, and us, are passionate about. Maybe it is about the company they founded, a major industry trend that is disrupting their business, their design philosophy, or their personal journey. Our goal is for you, and us, to learn while having fun, and to deepen our connections. We aim to release a podcast every two weeks, with each episode lasting around 30 minutes - the time of a short walk, or the commute to work. We hope the content will make you think, and sometimes laugh, but it will be easy enough to let you multitask. We are new at this, we are trying out different types of software, different ways of recording, even different ways of leading the conversations… We expect to get better at this over time.  Something interesting that you will quickly notice about this podcast series is that some of the episodes will be in English, and some will be in Spanish. We are lucky enough to be fluent in both languages, and want to be a bridge between both worlds. Having said this, we would like for everybody to enjoy any episode that they might find interesting, so we are looking into ways to create and post the translation of the episodes. We will not have this available from day 1, but we are working on it.  Now that you know that we are launching a podcast because we want to bring people along as we connect and learn from interesting humans, you may be wondering: But who are Gretchen and Trish? Good question!  We met in February of 2020, at an internal event that Gretchen had organized at the company where we both worked. I made some annoying comments to Gretchen during the conference, so we did not keep in touch after, but a year later we were thrown together into the same team.   Somehow, we overcame that rough beginning, and became really close collaborators and friends. A friendship that endured through career changes, geographical moves, personal challenges… We have been looking to do something together for quite a while, and have discussed many different options and alternatives. Ikigai Partners is the outcome of all of that evolution, and Ikigai Curious, this podcast, is a part of it.  Ikigai Partners intends to build a community of curious people that want to connect and create opportunities together. We intend to do this by sharing interesting content via this podcast and blogs posts, and also organizing online and in-person events where we get the chance to connect directly with each other, and in a very organic, but tangible way we collaborate and help each other move ahead with our plans and and projects. We will keep our website updated to share all the different things that we are thinking and doing.
