    On today's episode, we're talking about the idea of putting everyone before ourselves. It's been ingrained into us from all different types of systems.  We are told to serve others and put people in front of ourselves. But I think this can be very harmful for many of us. When we do this, we tend to not take care of ourselves, which is so important. The difference between an abundant energy versus a graspy energy is very noticeable. I loved this quote, "You can't be in lack and embody the truth of abundance."     ILP 233: Purpose

    On today's episode, we're talking about purpose. It can be something that so many of us caught up in: finding our purpose. It's understandable and totally normal. I loved something Jon Acuff said years ago. He said, "Forget finding a purpose. Live with purpose instead." That has served me really well over the years. It's honestly what living intentionally is about to me. But I heard something recently that said "You are your purpose" and that really hit home with me. What if healing and understanding who you are and living authentically as you is truly your purpose? Because when you do that, you bring all of you to the world, including your gifts.     On today's episode, we are talking about getting to know yourself. I reference Mel Robbins' new book, Let Them. It is a great book full of good nuggets and helpful tips for being more authentic in the world. This quote: "People can only meet you as deeply as they've met themselves."  This is so powerful to understand, as it really is true. If someone doesn't understand themselves, it's challenging for them to meet you deeply where you are. Doing this work can be so powerful and help us live a more intentional life.     On today's episode, I am talking about my year end review. It's something I've done for many years and can be incredibly so helpful. Here's my process: Review old journals/photos Find common themes What do you want to leave in 2024? What no longer serves you? What can you celebrate? How did you show up in 2024? How do you want to show up in 2025? What intentions do you want to set? This is not about using this process to beat ourselves up. It is for awareness and to be willing to decide on purpose what needs to stay in 2024 and what you want to do in 2025. It's so important that we ask ourselves this question because it's easy to get wrapped up in what others want instead of focusing on what we really want. In addition to asking yourself mentally, it's important to ask yourself this physically as well. What is important to you?     ILP 227: Unattached

    On today's episode, I am sharing a quote that has been super helpful for me. Here it is: "The common sayings 'be in the world but not of it' and 'wear the world loosely' refer to the need to be engaged with life while not being attached to specific outcomes. Do not take this world too personally, for you are one of many co-creators here to play - and we have many ideas about how all this should play out. Just know the outcomes don't matter as much as the presence you bring to each experience and how you let yourself flow through life. There's a real freedom in knowing and accepting this. So will you wear the world loosely or will it straitjacket you? It is your choice. Whatever happens, have the courage to keep trying to live as you are meant to. And when it comes to manifesting, don't worry about the 'how' or even the 'why'. We have that covered. Everything is going to turn out exactly as it should. Spirit has a plan!" This is so helpful for me to know that we can detach from the outcomes and we can choose how we live in the world. It's why I create this podcast and why I coach and write.
