I unpack the factors contributing to the occurrence of Imposter Syndrome such as family of origin, academic and professional pressures, and comparison and then highlight the negative physical and mental consequences it can elicit. I wrap up by offering practical strategies for overcoming feelings of being an imposter, emphasizing the importance of cultivating a growth mindset, setting realistic goals, utilizing visualization and making use of a supportive network.
