As a Doctor of Physical Therapy, I just discovered this podcast—it is a true pleasure to listen! Regardless of what aspect of the medial profession you are in, this is the podcast for you!

I have listened to this podcasts throughout medical school. I love the two hosts; they play off one another very well. They have interesting guest interviews about the art of medicine and how to improve diagnostic accuracy. Stump the chump cases are well presented and I learn so much by hearing them talk through their thought process. They are the OG clinical problem solvers!!

I searched for a podcast on how to address patients’ racism and came across episode 49. It seemed absurd that so much time was spent by one physician playing devil’s advocate bringing up situations in which a white supremicist’s bigoted requests should be accommodated. Also, there were multiple examples of what seemed to be getting at “reverse racism” but if you understand the definition of racism it occurs towards people in minority or marginalized groups, not White people. Little time during the episode was actually spent listening to or eliciting the opinion of the guest speaker, a professor of ethics. This is the behavior that allows systematic racism in the medical field to persist. I hope the hosts can educate themselves more on microaggressions and stop comparing their experiences of rude patients to BIPOC experiences of racism.

Love this podcast! I'm always amazed how these guys masterfully solve each of the cases on stump the chumps. Aspire to be on their level some day!
