Ray Leclair was appointed Vice President, Public Affairs of LAWPRO in 2012. He provides input on, implements and reports on all government relations and public affairs-related functions.Ray started at LAWPRO in 2008 as Vice President, TitlePLUS. Prior to joining LAWPRO, Ray was General Counsel for the Kanata Research Park Corporation and has practised in both major national law firms and as a sole practitioner, and was a part-time professor at the University of Ottawa Law School and Cité Collégiale. Ray was called to the Ontario Bar in 1984 after completing an LL.B. at the University of Ottawa.Ray frequently speaks on risk management and other legal practice topics in French and English.

Nadia Dalimonte, Manager, TitlePLUS Claims & Counsel, LAWPRO

Nadia’s role at LAWPRO includes managing TitlePLUS title insurance and professional liability claims for lawyers. Since beginning her career with LAWPRO in 2006, Nadia has had the opportunity to manage cases in a wide variety of areas of law, levels of complexity and forums, including actions, applications, class actions, and caution hearings. With extensive real estate experience, Nadia has developed special expertise in resolving complex coverage, fraud, and title insurance related claims.

A committed member of the wider legal community, Nadia has shared her claims experience and risk management tips with the legal profession through articles authored for LAWPRO. She is also a member of LAWPRO’s fraud response team that provides guidance and support to Ontario lawyers.

Nadia obtained a BBA from the Schulich School of Business in 2003. Her LLB is from Osgoode Hall Law School, and she was called to the bar in 2007.

Li Cheng has specific expertise in real estate, land development and business law. Prior to starting his own practice, Li worked for all three levels of government and advised on major public land development projects. Representing all types of business and land developers, Li has extensive experience on real estate and business purchase and sale transactions, and all aspects of residential and commercial development projects – from initial acquisition, structuring, assembly, financing, planning applications, registration of subdivisions and condominiums, to final unit sales. In 2019, Li was selected as one of Hamilton’s top 40 under 40 entrepreneurs.
