In conversation with Paul Nelson - author, caregiver/parent and autism advocate
Today's episode features Paul Nelson. Paul is a retired middle school music teacher who decided to pursue his other passion - writing, and is now the author of 11 books. Paul is also the parent and caregiver to his non-verbal, autistic son Michael who is the inspiration for his writing. They are a team and all of their books include a lot about them, and their life adventures with autism. They believe that by including people with disabilities in their fiction, it is one of the best ways to encourage tolerance and acceptance.
