A Botany Podcast!
The In Defense of Plants Podcast is a fascinating and educational foray into the plant kingdom. The host, Matt, is a knowledgeable botanist in his own right, but often interviews experts in specific areas of botany and conservation. In other cases, he takes the listener on audio field trips. You also might want to check out his collection of supporting videos posted on YouTube. They offer a chance to see lots of great plants in their natural habitat. Also make sure to check out the pictures and other materials on the show website. There’s more to see and read.

Im really inspired by Matt’s work and I admire his« obsessiveness ». This is a very thorough show that is made easy to understand and has led me to learning more complex things. Thank you Matt this is exactly what I think people need more of, well, me anyway. XD

As a 25-yr ecologist I enjoy the wide range & depth of topics. Can't say enough good about those. Only irk for me is the sometimes 10-15 min intro / bios: annoying when it can be done in 2,3,or 5 mins. But, overall the material makes up for it & botanists and general wild-plant lovers should love this.
Excellent Show!!
