Ep.9- The 2 Questions I Ask Myself When Creating Any Offer

Welcome to the celebratory launch of season two of the In High Alignment podcast, coinciding with my, Kerry Walsh's, 32nd trip around the sun! Reflecting on the past year, we embark on a deeper quest to live in alignment with what truly matters to us—our core values. This season, prepare to engage with not just my own musings but also the perspectives of daring creatives and brave souls who've walked the path less traveled. With a new, consistent schedule, every other Tuesday becomes a day of empowerment and connection. And for those seeking a closer-knit community, I'm thrilled to introduce the Alignment Club, our new Substack space brimming with weekly inspiration and the opportunity for genuine interaction.

Turning the microphone on myself, I open up about the transformative power of podcasting as a means to forge a lasting legacy. Behind every voice is a story, and I share why I took the plunge into this world, driven by an intrinsic need to create content that is both authentic and resonant. We'll explore how embracing our individual journeys can lead to personal growth and how therapy has played a role in redefining my views on legacy—shifting from a relentless pursuit to a celebration of life itself. Join us for a series of episodes that promise to uplift, challenge, and hopefully, grant you the permission to be unequivocally you. Let's move forward together, aligning our lives with who we are, and sowing the seeds for a legacy that truly matters.

    Ep. 8- 20 Years Post-Cancer Diagnosis: I'm Still Learning These 3 Things

    Ep. 8- 20 Years Post-Cancer Diagnosis: I'm Still Learning These 3 Things

Twenty years ago, everything changed with the three words, " You have leukemia."

This episode might not be for everyone, and it's ok if you choose not to tune in - your instincts know best. We'll walk through the day leading up to and day of my diagnosis, then walk through the fear and hope that came with my leukemia diagnosis and treatment. I dive into the support that was so crucial to my survival, particularly in the form of my social worker Joan and her invaluable knowledge about how to care for the humans this diagnosis would affect (aka my whole family, not only me).

This path didn't end with the physical healing. It extended into unlearning deep beliefs, reintegration and coming home to my body, and a reclamation of my voice and my story. I'll share the techniques I learned for coming back home to my body and how I learned to recognize when I wanted to dissociate. And yes, we'll even talk about time, the relentless urge to obsess over work, and the importance of listening to the quiet (or sometimes loud) cues your body is trying to tell you, and how to recognize them.

What kept me going through it all? What tools and modalities assisted my healing process? Tune in to hear all about it. This episode is packed with emotion, lessons learned, and the grueling but ultimately worthy path  of healing. 20 years after being diagnosed,  these are the things I know to be true.

This is the High Alignment Podcast – and this episode is full of bit of my heart and lessons from scars.

Ep. 5 - Wedding Vendor Wellness with Alicia Parks

Ep. 5 - Wedding Vendor Wellness with Alicia Parks

This episode’s guest is Alicia Parks. As a Wedding Photographer and a Yoga instructor Alicia has found that her passion for telling romantic stories through photography is as equally important to her as sharing the transforming benefits of Yoga.

She quickly realized Yoga is a challenging exercise that creates deep relaxation and mental clarity. Alicia recognized a desire to share the practice with others and teach professionally.

She completed her Yoga Teacher Training at the Ananda Seva Mission, in Santa Rosa, CA in 2011 and since has taught over 2000 classes.

She is especially interested in bringing Yoga into the lives of those who have never experienced the practice before. Seeing the benefits of the ancient traditions being discovered for the first time, including those who believed Yoga was not possible given their injuries or age, is one of her great delights.

Alicia is constantly seeking new avenues to bring Yoga into the lives of those who have yet to discover its benefits, and to help experienced practitioners along the path to a deeper, more rewarding practice.

During this episode, Kerry and Alicia speak about:

How Alicia made the decision to pivot her life, leave Corporate America and fulfill her passions for photography and yoga. She shares how photography and yoga all flow synchronistically through her life. Alicia shares how she has been living authentically and sharing her beliefs and opinions and shares with us that it’s okay to not flow with everyone, but to find those who you do flow with and connect with them.

She shares how pieces of her have always known what her alignment is; with self-care practices and learning what the world truly needs to hear she’s able to continue sharing.

Alicia talks about how over time working within the photography industry, she would share little nuggets of different practices to others that helped make a difference, that she has now developed a program that takes photographers from the moment they wake up to when they go to bed on how to make the day easier and to prevent the burnout.
