A Treasure and History

Just a note to say that VDH is a treasure. The common sense intellect of a top academic “farmer”. A terrific and rare combination. The analysis , observation and musings in a conversational tone. The weekly history class is enjoyable to this former fuzzy-minded left leaning History Major of the ‘70s. - Patrick Naples Florida
God bless you and thank you VDH & JF!!

Dear Sir, Thank you for all you do in helping the American people weigh the events of the day and the measured response that these events require. I feel that we are living in times that are not unique, but they are certainly not normal. In my humble opinion, I believe that the Left have committed treason and that certainly some of these people need to be brought to justice, and not the perverse “Justice” that the left has punished the supporters of Donald Trump in their insane vindictive way! ACCOUNTABILITY MUST BE MEASURED OUT! The manner in which they put Mr. Navarro in manacles and publicly humiliated him in the middle of an airport is behavior that would have taken place in a third world country, BUT NO, it was done in the United States!! The destroying of peoples lives must be “paid for”!! I feel that a committee must be set up to adjudicate all of these atrocities!! I could go on and on and on and on!! They allowed an invasion across our borders that resulted in the deaths of Americans and government officials not only allowed it , they participated in this invasion!! PEOPLE HAVE DIED BECAUSE ELECTED OFFICIALS THAT TOOK AN OATH TO DEFEND THE COUNTRY AND UPHOLD THE LAWS PURPOSELY REFUSED TO ENFORCE THE LAWS!! If it was not for the miracle that Donald Trump was elected this great country would be GONE FROM THE FACE OF THE EARTH!!!! In closing I must apologize for ranting, but I am so overwhelmed with what has transpired in this country over the last eight plus years that I can’t even begin to express how deeply I am affected!! We just celebrated Veterans Day. I am a Veteran, my three brothers are Veterans. My father was a Veteran. My fathers two brothers were Veterans. My mothers father was a Veteran. We all swore an oath to defend the Constitution of America against all enemies, foreign and DOMESTIC!! What the Democrats and the Left have done and are continuing to do is destroying this country and is unarguably criminal!! They must be held accountable! God bless you Sir’s and God bless the United States of America!!! Respectfully yours, Marc Cotter Hilo, Hawaii
California-Belly of the Beast

I love VDH for so many reasons! He’s brilliant, astute and humorous. I especially enjoy that he is in the belly of the best in California. Not everyone can or should leave the state. I grew up in Southern California and live there now. I’m almost 70 and I can’t just leave for many reasons. California just feels like home to me. I appreciate all his commentary. It’s an added treat to hear him talk about our once great state.
