sync. synchronization. it’s something you witness daily and maybe even take part in, but do you know what it means? according to, paul sampson, founder and CEO of hookd.it (recently rebranded to lickd.co), we’re in the very beginning stages of the sync revolution and there’s much sorting-out to be done. while catching up with him in barcelona, he dissects the intricacies and sometimes not so happy relationship between content creation, synchronization, licensing, + youtube, and how his company is pioneering this tier of streaming media.

shoom's adventures have brought her to the city of valencia, spain for her studies at berklee college of music. this new edition of “in the mix with shoom” is focused on inspiring DIY musicians to develop a more business-minded approach to the music industry. co-hosted by kim ortiz with music discovery, hillary storm with bulletin/music news and carole ann vetter with DIY trade secrets.
