I found a GREAT podcast.

I listen to a lot of podcasts and try to give a most new ones a chance. THIS ONE I LIKE from the very first minutes. I'm a 50 y.o. straight white dude who doesn't listen to hiphop/rap, but I found the hosts engaging, intelligent, opinionated, and have a clicking chemistry. They do not hesitate to be critical but not in a nasty way. Also, they seem to have a great, accurate overview of the entertainment biz. GIVE THEM A LISTEN, you won't be sorry !

A World Change

I was first introduced to the The Read by a friend of mine this past spring. Now I used to watch Kid Fury’s videos back in the YouTube days and Crissle West on her incredible episode of Drunk History; one that I constantly quote and send to people whenever I recommend looking up history. I listen to The Read at my retail job to keep me strangling Karen waiting in my line. Through their hilarity and sharp comments I learn something new about culture, messiness, and mental health every single week. They make me laugh on my most depression-ridden days and have convinced me to go back to therapy when I can afford it.

On another note, I know that as a white gay woman Kid Fury and Crissle are not curbing their content to make me comfortable nor do I think they care about my opinion, and that’s perfectly fine. These two beautiful, hilarious, and intelligent black queer icons are changing the world one episode at a time.
