After 25 years at the Late Night desk, Conan realized that the only people at his holiday party are the men and women who work for him.

Over the years and despite thousands of interviews, Conan has never made a real and lasting friendship with any of his celebrity guests. So, he started a podcast to do just that.

Deeper, unboundedly playful, and free from FCC regulations, Conan O’Brien Needs a Friend is a weekly opportunity for Conan to hang out with the people he enjoys most and perhaps find some real friendship along the way.

Don’t do edibles, Conan. Matt is right — you’ll have an anxiety attack. Try a low dose of mescaline.✌️ also FYI :: BRAND ALERT :: Conan likes everything from the 1940s except Graham crackers? PFFFFFTTTT... time to lose the pompadour, POSER!
Try Nabisco Chocolate Graham Crackers crumbled into coffee ice cream. Chill AF ... 🥶

Unlike the overrated s’mores...

...the whole here is more than the sum of its parts.

Finally, someone speaks the truth about the disappointment of s’mores. A nicely toasted marshmallow is a delicacy; a good piece of chocolate is delicious; and even the utilitarian graham cracker (named after a man opposed to pleasure of any king) can be enjoyable at times. Putting them together diminishes the enjoyment you would have from any one of them individually.

Not so with this podcast: individually, Sona, Matt, and Conan would be intolerable, but somehow the combination leads to a palatable and at times downright pleasant listening experience.
