This podcast is offering such an important contribution to an understanding of traditional music- and what is so important is how presenter/host Matt is not shy of going long. The conversation like a good song is as long as it needs to be. Above all the detail is rich and worth it, and the most recent episode running to three hours is so well worth the listen - The presenter guests debate the material and avoid suggesting a right or wrong way to think about any of the songs they focus on. It’s open and dialogue, there’s always another way to think about traditional material, and each episode opens up room for new meaning. I hope The podcast itself will simply continue with no intention of reaching an end- it is a pleasure to listen always.
