Rick & Erin sat down with Oyate Burnette. Oyate brings her Lakota culture and heritage to her 1st graders on the Rosebud Reservation every day! Oyate teaches in the same community in which she was raised and taught. We talk about teaching culture, teaching culturally, respect, and effects of generational and historical trauma on her students.
