Welcome to the Inside LBI Podcast, where we invite you to join us on an incredible journey, guided by none other than one of its founders, Jeremy DeFilippis. It all began in 2003 when Jeremy and four close friends embarked on a strike mission to the mountains, armed with nothing but inspiration, enthusiasm, and $200 each in a hat. Little did they know, this adventure would lay the foundation for a brand that would redefine their lives and the world of outdoor apparel.
Jetty was born out of a shared love for surf, fishing, art, travel, and music. Hailing from New Jersey, these visionaries realized that there was no predefined path to follow, so they decided to draw their own line. Now, as they celebrate their 20th year in business, Jetty continues to thrive, offering eco-minded and durable apparel that perfectly embodies the ever-changing conditions of the northeast surf scene, encouraging outdoor adventures no matter the weather.
But Jetty isn't just a brand; it's a mission. As a B-Corp Certified company, they're dedicated to reducing waste, creating premium products, and supporting coastal communities. And that mission extends to the Jetty Rock Foundation, the non-profit arm of the Jetty brand.
The Jetty Rock Foundation was formed in June of 2013 as a direct result of Jetty's massive Sandy Relief efforts. This approved 501(C)3 Charitable Organization allows the Jetty brand to continue to be a vehicle for fundraising by using its design, screen printing, and event prowess while providing a formidable channel to get direct aid to those in need. Through their nonprofit, they have donated millions of dollars to clean water initiatives and disaster relief efforts for over a decade.
When you support Jetty, you're not just buying clothes; you're strengthening their commitment to protecting our oceans, waterways, and the communities that depend on them. Join us on this inspiring journey, led by Jeremy DeFilippis himself. Tune in to the Inside LBI Podcast and become part of our mission towards a better, more sustainable world—one adventure at a time.
