Long time podcast listener here. Inside Trader Joe's has two entertaining hosts that make their podcast fun and enjoyable; I never miss an episode. Their podcast is informative about new products, old favorites, seasonal offerings, plus behind the scenes looks at what makes Trader Joe's such a distinctive success story. Highly recommend.

This podcast singlehandedly turned a TJs fan into a skeptic. They’re a corporation that’s clearly guided by profits, but deceptively cosplaying as a small, relatable mom & pop little guy. I started listening to learn about new and interesting items, but the way they talk about each product feels like such a disingenuous hard sell. Clearly people are here because they’re already interested in your brand and products. Just chill. They’re simply pushing their products and storyline to create a synthetic narrative. Every episode is just a long commercial. What a missed opportunity. Also, am I the only one who wants to barf every time the hosts introduce themselves and mention their titles? It’s like nails on a chalkboard hearing “word and phrases and clauses” and “I’m the culture and innovation guy”. Just drop, those aren’t legit titles and it’s not cute. I can’t imagine working in the same office with these people and play along with whatever act they’re putting up. Just be real. Your attempts at trying to be relatable feels so try hard and synthetic. Lastly, I’m saddened that TJs quality is consistently declining. I used to love their curried chicken salad but didn’t have it for years. I picked it up the other day and literally spit it out. I don’t know what they’re using in place of mayo, but it tastes like goopy chemicals. Such a gross mouth feel. It saddens me that they’re willing to make huge shortcuts and let their products suffer to max profits. TJs is no different from any other corp.
