INSIGHT OUT

Devin Almonte

Think, see, and live differently. By uncovering God’s truth and removing the blinders that keep us from seeing clearly, we are called not only to reflect on these truths when we rise, when we lie down, and in all we do, but to live them out in every area of our lives. As Deuteronomy 6:6-7 reminds us, “These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up.” Faith is not meant to stay in our thoughts; it is meant to be lived out in action. What fills our minds and hearts shapes our lives, and what we truly believe must become evident in how we live. Together, we will learn what it means to live this out every day. This is more than a podcast; it is a way of life, a call to see life InSight Out, to live as we were created to live, flourish as God intended, and build our lives on the rock-solid foundation of His Word. Why? Because how we live matters.

Anchor Points: Mirroring God in Everyday Life

Do you find that the more time you spend with someone, the more you start acting like them? Picking up their mannerisms, their expressions, even their pace? I came across a video that took this idea to another level. A woman in a red dress stands on one side of a large frame, and her Border Collie stands on the other. No mirror between them—just space. As she moves with elegance and confidence, her dog mirrors her every move with precision and focus. The dance is breathtaking. Watching it, I realized: this is exactly the kind of obedience and closeness the Lord desires from us. To be so in tune with Him that we naturally reflect His ways. In today’s Anchor Point, I’ll share: Why obedience to God is more than just following rules—it’s walking in step with HimHow a Border Collie’s devotion reveals something powerful about our faithWhat it really means to abide in Christ and mirror His life Scripture (NIV): 1 John 2:6 – “Whoever claims to live in him must live as Jesus did.” 💬 Want to talk about it more? Have you ever noticed how quickly you pick up on someone else’s habits? What does it mean for us to “mirror” God in our everyday lives? Let’s talk about how obedience draws us closer to His heart. 👉Join the conversation in the InSight Out Community on Facebook 📩 Stay connected: Get encouragement, reflections, behind-the-scenes moments, and more in the weekly newsletter: 👉 Subscribe here #ObedienceToGod #WalkWithJesus #MirroringChrist #AnchorPoints #ChristianPodcast #InsightOutPodcast

Hydrangeas, “Menodivorce,” a $10K Theft Class & Florida’s Vaccine Debate

Do you ever try to “improve” something that isn’t broken? And deeper still… are there places you’re pushing for more when God is inviting you to wait? That’s the heart of today’s conversation. We chase quick fixes and brighter results, but wisdom often looks like restraint. Devin shares the hydrangea story — how “just a little more” fertilizer burned what was already beautiful. And why that impulse shows up in our marriages, our culture, and our health debates. From the rise of so-called “Meno Divorce,” to a $10,000 university class on “How to Steal,” to Florida’s effort to roll back vaccine mandates, we explore how followers of Jesus can respond with wisdom instead of hurry. Scripture: Proverbs 2:6 — “For the Lord gives wisdom; from his mouth come knowledge and understanding.” James 1:3–4 — “…the testing of your faith produces perseverance. Let perseverance finish its work…” James 1:5 — “If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all…” Exodus 20:15 — “You shall not steal.”  💬 Want to talk about it more? Where are you tempted to add “just a little more” — to a plan, a relationship, or a decision? What would it look like to ask God for wisdom to wait instead? Let’s talk about real-life restraint, marriage in the menopause years, and how we engage culture with grace. 👉Join the conversation in the InSight Out Community on Facebook. 📩 Stay connected: Get encouragement, reflections, behind-the-scenes moments, and more in the weekly newsletter: 👉 Subscribe here #EverydayFaith #Menodivorce #Marriage  #Stealing #VaccineMandates #Devotional  #ChristianPodcast  #InSightOutPodcast

Anchor Points: The Superpower of a “Hello”

When’s the last time someone said “hello” to you and you actually felt like they meant it? And here’s the real question: when’s the last time you said it with the power of Christ behind it? That’s today’s Anchor Point. A simple “hello,” “how are you,” or “have a great day” may not seem like much. But when spoken with genuine kindness and love, these words carry the presence of Christ in powerful ways. Devin shares a story about a surprising encounter with unusually kind salespeople and why these small human-to-human connections matter more than we think. In today’s Anchor Point, Devin explores: Why kindness in everyday interactions makes such a big impactHow the smallest words can carry God’s biggest loveWhat it looks like to live on mission for Christ right in our own neighborhoods Scripture (NIV): Colossians 4:6 – “Let your conversation be always full of grace, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how to answer everyone.” 💬 Want to talk about it more? When’s the last time a simple “hello” or “have a great day” brightened your day? Do you think about your words as a way to share Christ’s love? Let’s talk about how even the smallest words can be the biggest witness. 👉 Join the conversation in the InSight Out Community on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/groups/insightoutcommunity 📩 Stay connected: Get encouragement, reflections, behind-the-scenes moments, and more in the weekly newsletter: 👉 Subscribe here #KindnessCounts #EverydayMission #SpeakLife #FaithInAction #AnchorPoints #ChristianPodcast #InsightOutPodcast
