    Mike Taylor is the Lead Portfolio Manager of the Simplify Health Care ETF (PINK), the first 100% pro bono ETF focused on the health care sector. Net profits are donated for the benefit of the Susan G. Komen foundation on an annual basis. He has over two decades of experience managing long/short health care equity portfolios at leading hedge funds, including PM and Managing Director of CriticalMass Partners LLC. Previously, Mike managed hedged and factor neutral-portfolios with a gross amount over $1 billion at funds including Millennium, Citadel and Diamondback Capital. He is regarded to have built and run one of the best-performing Healthcare funds on Wall Street.
    Mike began his investment career at OppenheimerFunds as the Head of Healthcare. He has overseen the day to day operations, portfolio trading, and research at multiple institutions, and prior to Portfolio Management, Michael worked as a Scientist during the 1990's developing viral-vector based gene therapeutic drugs for the Bio/Pharma industry. He holds advanced degrees in Science and Business from the Johns Hopkins University and the William E. Simon School of Business.

He is currently the president and chief operating officer of a mid-sized government contractor and is an avid reader, fitness enthusiast, and volunteer, spending most of his free time watching his kids’ sports and on the baseball field as a Little League coach. He has founded two companies—Middleburg Capital and Hellen Systems—the first being a commercial real estate investment firm, and the second, a technology company focused on a national security initiative to create a ground-based back-up for the Global Positioning System (GPS). He earned a bachelor’s degree in biology at Virginia Tech in 2000.

    Episode 266: Justin Levy, Executive Director at non-profit Conscious Alliance, talks about his cerebral palsy, working with at risk kids, and leading a movement that has served over 10 million meals to kids and families in need.
    Guest Biography
    Justin Levy has served as Executive Director of Conscious Alliance since 2012. His focus on expanding the organization's distribution capabilities resulted in the acquisition of a national distribution center and headquarters in Broomfield, Colorado in 2020, as well as the launch of new and innovative programs to accelerate delivery and impact. Levy has made food quality a priority, improving the health and nutrition standards of donated foods. Levy’s focus lies heavily on serving the Native American and youth communities through seeking donations, as well as implementing gardening programs that align with community culture.
    With Cerebral Palsy and severe dyslexia, Levy works with his limitations to bring a fierce spirit to support others. Levy has had 14 surgeries, has been in and out of wheelchairs, and has endured thousands of hours of painful physical therapy – and he had to learn how to walk four different times before finishing high school. Due to the hardships he has endured throughout his life, Levy is unable to read or drive. As a highly functioning Executive Director, where he lacks in creating spreadsheets and emails, he makes up for tenfold through inspiration, facilitating a powerful organizational culture, and cultivating meaningful partnerships through strong relationships. Levy holds a degree in Service-Learning Program Development from Warren Wilson College.

    Rob is widely recognized for creating the first Internet fintech company (GALT Technologies), the Internet’s first stock quote and portfolio management service- NETworth, which was eventually acquired by Intuit in 1994 and became Quicken Financial Network. His second startup, an early artificial intelligence company, was acquired by Lycos, the second-most-popular internet portal at the time, where he became VP and General Manager. Frasca’s third startup, Affinnova, was acquired by Nielsen in 2014. He is a visionary and online pioneer who has brought over 50 products to market, including one with over 100 million users.
    Frasca graduated from the Rochester Institute of Technology with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering and received an MBA/M.S.I.A. from Carnegie Mellon’s Tepper School of Business. He is also a decorated U.S. Naval Flight Officer with 18 combat missions.
