How To Destroy Everything
This is the true story of Richard Jacobs – a narcissist who destroyed a childhood, a marriage, a family, and a community. He sued every sentient being on the face of the earth, got banned from restaurants, and inspired a support group composed solely of people he traumatized. He stole notary stamps, hacked emails, forged signatures… and won a U.S. Supreme Court case. He was also my dad. Join us each week as hosts Danny Jacobs and Darren Grodsky will shift between past and present to explore the lasting impact of Richard Jacobs. Devouring each podcast

Thoroughly enjoying this podcast. I eagerly devour each one as them come out. I have trauma (who doesn’t? ;) and don’t know how I’d process it on a public platform like this. So I applaud Danny for doing it. I agree with other reviewers that Sandy shouldn’t be badgered as much. It’s hard to know where the line is with things like this and I think some of that might be better done in a therapist’s office. Everyone abused by the narcissist deserves healing and I wish that upon all of you affected by Richard.

Well done and it’s a good story telling. It’s honest and I do think will help people who deal with difficult people

Stop telling your mother what to do therapeutically. Her level of trauma may be so high that she is very overwhelmed. She has a lot of unprocessed trauma stored in her brain. It is irresponsible to encourage people to do what works for you as if it’s the only way to process. She needs to ask her own therapist not yours.
Great pod cast!

Wow! I’m picky but this is one of my top favorites! I could see myself in each family member! Even the dad! So interesting how much potential the had had but didn’t use it appropriately? At least in my opinion. I love that these two grew up together it really adds to the different perspectives and layers! Also omg the mom sounds so sweet! I’m sad for her that she was forced into a box and couldn’t explore her interests at a young age. Although the dad was cray cray and the mom was seemingly in crisis mode all the time- it seems they raised a great human! I love the opening up and talking about all the feelings. Thanks for sharing!
