Ken Anderson was an all-around athlete in Batavia, IL whose friend and neighbor was NBA Hall of Famer Dan Issel. After four years at Augustana College he became Bill Walsh's protege in his new passing scheme called the West Coast offense. 4 passing titles and an MVP award later, it's pretty clear that #14 was up to the task.
