Episode 10: School of Rock (featuring Noah Quinn)

We ride tonight by the guitar bite. And for those about to rock…… we invite you to listen to our new episode! John and Will jam out with Will’s friend Noah Quinn and tackle the early 2000’s masterpiece that is School of Rock. Yes, the gang rips off a nasty face-melter discussing Richard Linklater’s epic cinematic tour-de-force, diving deep on the characters, soundtrack, and eternal lessons that make this movie an instant classic. A note about the recording: this was recorded before the tragic passing of Kevin Clark, AKA Freddy “Spazzy McGee” Jones earlier this year. We at Into the Fox Hole want to dedicate this podcast to him, as a celebration of his life and absolutely pitch perfect performance.

Episode 9: Daft Punk - Random Access Memories (Featuring Ryan Tetro)

SPREAD THE WORD AROUND! The Foxes are gracing the podcast streaming universe once again with a lost episode from deep within the ITFH vault. As a tribute to the recently disbanded Daft Punk, John and Will reach all the way back to Spring of 2020, when they discussed Random Access Memories with Will’s college roommate, teammate, and friend Ryan Tetro. And what a podcast it was, detailing everything from the promotion and marketing of the album, to a song by song analysis of the album’s rhythm and flow, to even a broader discussion on Daft Punk’s legacy as truly transcendent musical artists.

Episode 8: Game of Thrones Season 6 (featuring Tom Dreher)

Ho Ho Ho, Merry Thronesmas! After a brief (6 month) hiatus, Will and John are back in this new release from the ITFH archives. This time, winter has come, as the brothers are joined by Will's high school friend Tom Dreher to talk Game of Thrones Season 6. Discussing arguably the high-water mark of the television adaptation of George R.R. Martin's fantasy saga, the crew has no shortage of topics to cover. From the evolution of Jon Snow's character, to a deep dive on Arya's role within the Stark family, to much more, the Foxes revel in the beauty of Thrones at its peak, as well as decry the direction it would shortly go in Seasons 7 and 8.

The gang straps in to dissect all the hilarity and absurdity with Will’s childhood friend, Jack Ohle. From an analysis of the Royal Family’s part in the plot, to a discussion of the great pantheon of mock documentaries, and everything in between, the Foxes and Jack fully immerse themselves in the beauty of such a silly yet brilliant piece of art.

The Fox brothers are joined by Will’s friend, and fellow member of the most elite unit in Division III sports, Dylan Slack, to discuss the groundbreaking young Adult crossover series Avatar: The Last Airbender. The gang runs the gamut on topics, discussing the game-changing nature of such a sophisticated children’s show, what bending ability is truly superior, and even what other bending abilities could be unlocked in this universe.

On this week’s episode, John and Will don their most formal tie-dye attire, and take a trip into the mythical land of the Grateful Dead, discussing their famous live album “Cornell 5/8/77” with Will’s high school friend, Billy Hennessy. While braving the sound quality issues due to Bill’s rearranging of his groceries, the gang dives into all things Dead, from the mystique surrounding their famous live shows, to the confluence of factors that leads to this album in particular becoming one of their most famous. Additionally, the brothers are greeted by a first on the podcast: a surprise special guest appearance!

Touching on the universal adventure of buying booze underage, the hierarchy of Apatow actors, and the lasting friendships developed in highschool, the gang dives deep into this groundbreaking coming of age movie, and ponders why this film means so much not only to Garret, but to a generation of high schoolers who just wanted to get in shenanigans, talk to their crushes, and have fun with their best friends.
