National Hardware Show 2024 - Inventor Lady & Inventor Darrell Swink
For this week's broadcast of HomeTalkUSA's "InventAmerica!" segment, Michael King and co-host Rita Crompton welcome Darrell Swink, inventor of the Ice Grill Brush, to discuss the 2024 National Hardware Show. Swink owns and manages a fireplace and barbecue company in Denver, Colorado, installing, maintaining, and cleaning fireplaces and barbecues. This experience gave way to the invention of the Ice Grill Brush, solving the problem of people buying cheap brushes that they constantly have to throw away. Swink is currently working on a 2nd generation version of the Ice Grill Brush that's more environmentally friendly.
I currently own and run a fireplace and barbecue company in the Denver Colorado area where we maintain install service and clean fireplaces and barbecues this has allowed me to create the ice Grillbrush to help solve a problem with people buying cheap brushes that they constantly have to throw away. I live in the Denver area and I am expanding to a second product getting away from plastics to be more environmentally friendly and to where the product will last for years. I’ve always enjoyed solving problems and making quality products.

National Hardware Show 2024 - With The Inventor Lady & Jim Gurule National Kitchen & Bath Assoc.
For this week's broadcast of HomeTalkUSA's "InventAmerica!" segment, Michael King and co-host Rita Crompton discuss the best type of marketing - a professional tradeshow - as the 2024 National Hardware Show approaches. Joined by inventor and industry expert Jim Gurule, membership chair for the National Kitchen and Bath Association (NorCal Chapter) and council member for GLG. Jim has a family of patents related to cabinet installation. His first patent is used to install millions of cabinets every year and continues to be sold nationally through retailers like Home Depot, Lowes and on-line through Amazon. He is currently working to commercialize his second generation of patents. His newest invention, a multi-use panel clamp, is used for cabinet and closet installation and assembly projects, taking advantage of the growing Ready to Assemble market in the U.S. & around the world. Jim also leads an AI project and team that uses machine learning to build a neural network for scene reconstruction
of an existing kitchen, using a standard mobile phone camera to create a digital twin.
