After that, we breakdown one of our most recently completed deals, one that started as a 1031 exchange with a multifamily property into a retail property. After completing the 1031 we managed the new retail property for 5 years before completing the sale of the property in July 2021. We use this real-life example to further break down the difference between investing in Retail and Multifamily and why you might want to consider both.
