Trey takes “optimism” to a level of being separate from reality

This is a good podcast for RSL news and interviews, but Trey is definitely is part of the RSL system that tends to put a positive spin on poor performances. I can’t believe that after the EXTREMELY poor summer transfer window (where NO long term pieces were brought in) Trey can say things along the lines of “we aren’t going to bring in other players that don’t fit with the team.” I understand that to a point, but you cannot tell me that this club would not sign a Gareth Bale for example because they felt he “didn’t fit.” I’m grateful for Trey’s work and some of the things he does, but he tends to sound like RSL’s toxic positivity PR spin man. The reality is that our team is midtable and we have failed to bring in quality DP signings that are the difference makers between us and teams like LAFC.
