On today's podcast, it's a MASSIVE review of the opening match of the 2024 State Of Origin series, which was won convincingly by Queensland 38-10 over New South Wales in Sydney. The match however is overshadowed by the sending off of Blues debutant Joseph Sua'ali'i within the opening 10 minutes, after a dangerous high tackle on Maroons fullback Reece Walsh.

Devlin delivers a sermon first-up questioning whether or not the send off was the right call by referee Ashley Klein.

Then, league experts and good friends of the show Jason 'Costo' Costigan and Tony Kemp share their thoughts on Sua'ali'i's sending off, New South Wales and Penrith Panthers icon Mark Geyer offers a different perspective on Klein's ruling, Triple M breakfast host and proud Queenslander Greg Martin bathes in the brilliance of his Maroons while also discussing Super Rugby Pacific, Hurricanes assistant Cory Jane previews their Super Rugby quarter-final against the Rebels, and ex-Black Cap turned cricket commentator Simon Doull updates us on all the action at the Twenty20 Cricket World Cup. On today's podcast, It's Only Sport host Martin Devlin ramps up State Of Origin preview with a Queensland icon and a winning coach - Brent Tate and Sir Graham Lowe.

First off, Devlin shares his thoughts on Black Caps bowlers Trent Boult and Lockie Ferguson arriving in camp late for the Twenty20 World Cup, and how it has impacted their preparation. Devlin suggests New Zealand Cricket need to put their foot down and tell players when they join a New Zealand camp as opposed to letting the players decide.

Then, Tate discusses his experiences playing Origin and how important it is to the state of Queensland, Sir Graham talks his time coaching the Maroons and how they accepted him - a foreigner - into their environment, Miles Davis chats Origin as well as Boult and Ferguson arriving in camp late, and Mark 'Watto' Watson joins in on the Black Caps' T20 World Cup preparation debate.

Plus, Devlin and producer Lachlan Waugh share their opinions on Origin kicking off, Alex Paulsen signing for Bournemouth and more on the Tight 5 and What Has More Chance Of Happening. All that and much more!
