Jackson Hicks: From No College Offers to Professional Baseball

Episode #030: Jared sits down with pitcher, Jackson Hicks.

Jackson shares his unique story of not playing college baseball, but still ultimately playing in the Minnesota Twins organization.

He had no college offers out of high school, so he decided to go to University of North Carolina as a student. He ended up joining the club baseball team and pitched for the next 4 years.

After college he decided to go to a couple independent league tryouts and ultimatelly landed in the United Shore Professional Baseball League in Michigan.

It was out of that league the Minnesota Twins would sign him.


He is now a free agent currently rehabbing from Tommy John Surgery.


Jackson shares every bump and bruise along the way that has led him to where he is today.


His story is an inspiration to young players that haven't devleoped into the player they want to be yet.


Jackson is an example of what hard work and perseverance can do.
