    Under Pressure

    Is pressure pushing down on you? Maybe it's work. Maybe it's a relationship. Maybe it what is going on in the world. Pressure over time leads to bringing buildings down, splitting families, putting people on the street, mental and physical health issues... and so much in between. If you are feeling pressure, in this episode we discuss some practical ways to de-pressurize yourself, and weave in the song "Under Pressure" from Queen and David Bowie that also give us an answer for getting out of the pressure. So instead of screaming "let me out," what if you give love a chance, experiment with de-pressurizing practices, and dare to care and love others and yourself? You just might watch the pressure decrease and get that peaceful easy feeling back in your life.     What does a poem about the Canadian gold rush and the song "Me and Bobby McGee" written by Kris Kristofferson (famously covered by Janis Joplin) have in common? The are both tales of journeys that we can learn a lot from. Self isolation, regret, carrying burdens, heartache, keeping our word, feeling good, and freedom... just to name a few. Things we all deal with on our journeys in this life. In this episode we discuss the synchronicities that led to the creation of this #podcast episode, the story behind the song, the meaning of the lyrics and poem, lessons we can all take to make our life more fulfilled, with less regret and attachment, and the rest of the story about Janis Joplin's part. "Freedom's just another word for nothing left to lose" is a line I have been making sense of for over twenty years, and now it means something different to me.
