Reelblend saved my life
24 февр.
Hello Reelblend podcast, and welcome to my letter of gratitude to everyone involved with the reelblend podcast. Where I want to give a special thanks to everyone who is involved with this podcast. The voices and stories that have been told on this podcast have truly saved my life. In September 2023 I tried to take my own life away, I was facing an overwhelming amount of anxiety and depression. I spent a lot of time searching for ways to help me through such a dark time in my life. And in the darkness I found a healthy way to cope by going to the gym and exercising, it was then I put on my headphones and tuned into a podcast that saved me. I wanted to connect to a group that shared my love for movies and film, for it has always been a true love of mine since I was a kid when my older brother sat me in front of the T.V and showed me Jaws, Indiana Jones, Star Wars, Jurassic Park, E.T. It was those moments I spent watching movies that became my favorite part of childhood. Throughout my life I would always be at a movie theater either seeing a movie or just hanging out as I didn’t have a lot of friends, and I went to the theater to escape from everything. I became a blue collar man and worked a 9-5 until I reached the age of 30 where I started to feel uncomfortable in my place in this world. I searched for everything to find an outlet and with a ton of soul searching I found movies to be my one true love in this life. Since September 2023 I have lost over 45 pounds and have found my four favorite podcasts voices with Sean, Jake, Kevin and Gabe. You guys have truly saved my life and it saddens me that this show is coming to an end, but I am with gratitude and appreciation for all of you thank you guys so much for your creative and unique and inspiring insights.I am sending this message with a video attached to it of a tattoo I got last year in love and support for movies and for the Reelblend podcast picture that served as an inspiration for my tattoo, in each film strip is the initials of my all time favorite directors. Bonus points for those you can guess each one correctly. Anyway I am going to wrap this up, I hope I can get a shoutout for this letter I sent to you all it would mean the world to me if you guys mentioned this in your last podcast. I hope you all have a wonderful and prosperous journey ahead, thank you for the memories until then……DUNKIRK!!!
Amazing and passionate podcast

I started the reelblend podcast maybe two weeks ago and now I play them every morning before heading to work. These guys are great and they each have their own respective views on films. It’s really cool to hear they articulate themselves on how much they love movies and you can see it through their interviews! Amazing word gentlemen!
Kevin

The content on the show is great. Two big problems: Jake interrupts everyone constantly Kevin is the biggest douche bag I’ve ever heard in my life. So pretentious. Listening to the Bruce Willis episode, he thinks he’s being funny by continuing to harp on die hard three. I promise you, it wasn’t funny, or entertaining. He’s just a pretentious douche bag.
Movie Theater Parking Lot

Reelblend feels like conversations (sometimes arguments) I have with friends in the movie theater parking lot after a showing. Keep up the good work!
