It's not often you get to talk to one of the architects of Heavy Metal, but this morning we got the chance to talk to legendary Black Sabbath bassist Geezer Butler about his book, "Into The Void"  (which is out now on paperback) ...and he was everything you would hope he'd be!

Back on March 23rd, the Rock’s Imaging Director…while picking up a Door Dash delivery…suffered a near fatal cardiac event when he went into v fib.

And thanks to the amazing first responders, they were able to kickstart his heart and rush AJ to Olathe Medical Center…and what followed was a quadruple bypass, a handful of mini strokes following the surgery. but he has lived to tell the fuggin’ tale!! And then the long road to recovery started.And today, after 13 long weeks…HE IS BACK!!! And we couldn’t be happier…because it’s truly a miracle he's here today.And we welcomed him back this morning!!

Since 2005, the Kansas City Metropolitan Crime Commission (KCMCC) has hosted the Guns N Hoses event that pairs our area's finest Police Officers, Fire Fighters and Paramedics to compete in sanctioned boxing matches that celebrate the strength, dedication and loyalty of these awesome men and women. This event benefits the programs of the KCMCC, primarily the Surviving Spouse and Family Endowment Fund (SAFE) which provides funds for families of fallen first responders.
