Sarai is one of the most powerful and influential women in world sport and has been FIFA’s Chief Women’s Football Officer since the role was first created in 2016. Her mandate included doubling the sport's global female player base from 30 million to 60 million and she's ultimately responsible for all levels of the game – from grassroots through to elite international competition – across 200 countries, it's quite a big gig! In this episode we talk about her relationship with her brother, UFC superstar coach Eugene Bareman – and their humble beginnings, how she worked her way up from a bank teller in West Auckland to the biggest job in women’s football, the misogyny, corruption and abuse she encountered along the way and all the best ‘pinch yourself’ moments from her epic rise including the chaos and stress caused by the Auckland shootings on the morning of the opening match of the World Cup in New Zealand This one was pretty special – and after making it to the end – you'll be able to see why Sarai holds the position she does.  She’s sharp, articulate, empathetic and perhaps most importantly, authentic.     Lance O’Sullivan is New Zealand racing royalty. A Hall of Fame jockey, who is the son of a Hall of Fame trainer. Lance was born to racing and from his first race in 1980, wins and records fell to him as if by right. He was a champion jockey a record twelve times, had six wins in a day on five occasions, 62 Group One wins (including 10 in Australia) and from start to finish – rode nearly 2,500 winners. In this episode we learn why Lance wakes up at 3.30am and why Damien McKenzie is often at his house, how he won the Japan Cup on Horlicks in 1989 in front of 140,000 people, his feelings on finishing second behind Bonecrusher in the ‘race of the century’, how his wife Bridgette turned the Red Barn into one of NZ’s best wedding venues, the state of the racing industry in NZ, animal welfare, family and so much more.     Greg Foran is the CEO of Air New Zealand – and one of the country’s most successful businessmen. Greg started his career as a shelf-stacker in a Hamilton supermarket. By the age of 20 he was a Woolworths manager and by 48 he was on track to be the next CEO of Woolworths Australia – but was overlooked for the top job. He pivoted to America via China where he started working his way up the Walmart ladder and in 2014 became the CEO of Walmart US. As CEO of Walmart US – Greg had 1.5 million staff, 4,600 stores across the country and an annual GDP of 300 billion. This was a Kiwi running America’s biggest retailer. Then in 2020, Greg left Walmart to move home to New Zealand and took the top job at Air New Zealand… just days before Covid-19 started grounding flights. This was a fascinating chat – and we think you’ll quickly be able to see why Greg has had the career he’s had.
