067 Enneagram & Grief: Fives, Sixes & Sevens With Monique Scrip

067 Enneagram & Grief: Fives, Sixes & Sevens With Monique Scrip

You’re listening to The Joyful Mourning Podcast Episode #67. This is our fourth and final installment of our special series all about the enneagram and grief. If you have never heard of the enneagram, it’s simply a personality typing tool that helps us to better understand ourselves and others. And this series has been incredibly helpful at exposing how we are all different and therefore grieve differently. There are 9 enneagram types and for each type I have been asking our special guest Moniqe Scrip, a certified enneagram coach, a specific set of questions, including, what might this enneagram type look like amidst grief and how can we best love someone who is this enneagram type and is grieving. This week’s episode we are specifically discussing enneagram types 5, 6 & 7 -- what these personalities might look like amidst grief and how we can love someone who is this type and is grieving.

Again, this series of episodes is so helpful at being reminded that we all grieve differently and helps us to better understand how we might be grieving ourselves or how someone we love might be grieving. I pray this tool will helpful as you navigate this season of grief.

If you are new to this podcast or just jumping into this series, I would encourage you to listen to the first episode in this series, Episode 64 where Monique gives a helpful overview of what the enneagram is and why this tool can be especially helpful to someone who is walking through grief. If you are unsure what your enneagram type is or are curious about learning more about this helpful tool, I recommend reading The Road Back to You by Ian Chron and taking Monique’s free enneagram typing test over on her website www.moniquescrip.com.

064 Enneagram + Grief + What Is Enneagram With Monique Scrip

You’re listening to The Joyful Mourning Podcast Episode #64. This week we start a special series all about the enneagram. Maybe you have never heard of the enneagram or maybe you have read all the books, either way this series is going to be incredibly helpful in growing our understanding of how we all grieve differently; giving us compassion for ourselves and others as we grow to understand ourselves and those around us in a deeper way.

Throughout this series I will be talking with Monique Scrip, a certified enneagram coach. She will be walking us through each of the 9 enneagram types, what they might look like in grief, what they might struggle with that is specific to their type and how to best love someone who is that type and is walking through the loss of a baby.

In today’s episode we start with an introduction about the enneagram. Monique helps us to understand what the enneagram is, what it isn’t and how it’s different than other commonly known personality typing tools. She gives a very helpful overview of this helpful tool and even does a bit of impromptu coaching for me.

This series of episodes is for you if you are a grieving mama who has felt misunderstood in your grief or felt as though you no longer really understand those closest to you or even understand yourself. I pray this tool will provide an avenue for your relationships to grow in depth and value as you gain a better understanding of how each other is processing and navigating this season of grief and loss.

So listen in if you have ever been curious about the enneagram or if you are skeptic about all this; or if you are just interested in knowing what enneagram type I am and her thoughts about my specific blind spots. But mostly listen in if you are a grieving mama who is hoping to better understand your grief, how you are processing loss and how to better understand the way those closest to you are processing their grief as well.
