ਮਹਾਰਾਜਾ ਰਣਜੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਦੀ ਮੌਤ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਸਿੱਖ ਰਾਜ ਦੇ ਦੁਖਾਂਤ ਨੂੰ ਇਤਿਹਾਸਕ ਕਵਿਤਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਪੇਸ਼ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ ।ਸੰਨ ੧੮੩੯ ਤੋਂ ਲੈ ਕੇ ੧੮੪੬ ਤੱਕ ਦੇ ਹਾਲਾਤਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਨਿਰਪੱਖਤਾ ਨਾਲ ਬਿਆਨ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ। ਸ਼ਾਹ ਮੁਹੰਮਦ ਦੇ ਇਸ ਜੰਗਨਾਮੇ ਦੇ ਕੁੱਲ ੧੦੫ ਬੰਦਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਪਹਿਲੇ ੫੭ ਬੰਦਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮੈਂ ਪਹਿਲੇ ਭਾਗ ਵਿੱਚ ਜਾਣੀ ਪੂਰਵ ਅੱਧ ਵਿੱਚ ਪੇਸ਼ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ। ਬੰਦ ੫੮ ਤੋਂ ਦੂਜਾ ਭਾਗ ਜਾਣੀ ਉੱਤਰ ਅੱਧ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਜਿਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਮੁੱਖ ਤੌਰ ਤੇ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਉਪਰ ਅੰਗਰੇਜ਼ਾਂ ਦਾ ਕਬਜ਼ਾ ਦਿਖਾਇਆ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ।
