As the president of DMC Service, Inc., a commercial heating, cooling, ventilation, and plumbing contractor in the Kansas City Metropolitan Area, Karen has made significant strides in her industry and community.

A Journey of Transformation:

Karen's professional journey began in sales, where she represented various industries, including hotels, web development, digital printing, and real estate. 

Her dedication and hard work paid off when she transitioned to a full-time role at DMC Service in 2010, taking on responsibilities in human resources, sales, and marketing, all while apprenticing in the field.

Leadership and Growth:

In 2012, Karen became the majority owner of DMC Service and by 2014, she had bought out the remaining shares and rebranded the company as "Diamond Mechanical Contractors." Under her leadership, the company has thrived, earning accolades and expanding its reach.

Community and Mentorship:

Karen's commitment to her community is evident through her involvement in various programs and organizations. She is a graduate of the Kauffman Foundation FASTrack program, a fellow with the Helzberg Entrepreneurial Mentoring Program (HEMP), and a participant in the Goldman Sachs 10K Small Business Cohort 18. Karen mentors early-stage business owners through the Porter House KC program and the Women in HVACR organization. She also founded Strong-Homes, Strong Families, a 501c3 organization dedicated to assisting homeowners with mission-critical home repairs.

Inspiring Change:

Karen is passionate about creating lasting, meaningful, and positive change in her community. Her courageous communication and quick-thinking connectivity have inspired many. She serves on the St. Paul Catholic Church building committee, St. James Academy building committee, and Daughters of the American Revolution.
