TW: suicidal thoughts, dealing with chronic pain
Today’s episode features Kevin Brewer, a Navy veteran, who shares his journey of overcoming undiagnosed health issues for 13 years. Initially misdiagnosed with PTSD, Kevin faced severe physical symptoms, including chest pain, elevated heart rate, and neurological issues. Despite multiple medical setbacks, including being dismissed by the military and VA systems, Kevin persisted in self-advocacy and research. He discovered cervical instability and underwent stem cell therapy in Colorado, which significantly improved his condition. Now a Spartan athlete, Kevin emphasizes the power of resilience and the importance of setting goals to overcome challenges.
