KLAM Radio
Tune in to KLAM Radio, a podcast that takes the form of a fictional radio station broadcasting out of the Fabulous Dry Arroyo Casino in sunny San Ranchito, California! Focusing on the absurdity and humor of everyday radio, KLAM Radio is an elaborate satire of contemporary radio, both commercial and public that, episode by episode, turns into a serialized melodrama of intersecting characters, grudges, and small town politics. Jonathan Goldstein, Starlee Kine, A. Martinez and other radioheads make cameos alongside comedians like Martin Starr, Aparna Nancherla, and James Adomian.

Strikingly real while obviously off the rails. I mean, really, great production value. I heard about the podcast on an episode of Here Be Monsters, and I'm sad that it seems so few people have listened to it. The sarcasm is caustic yet some segments are so spot on that I know I could find the same audio poison on the conservative frequencies of my local dial. (And I'm from Massachusetts, so that's saying something about how well they've characterized the kooky and the crazy in a universal USA way) I hope this gets more attention!!! Brilliant and well concieved. The focus on clams is insane and I don't much get it but it makes me chuckle. One of the few podcasts that makes me LOL and look like a crazy person while clicking incessantly in my office. Proud to say it.
THIS IS ART AT ITS BEST

what an excellent concept, and it’s really well executed! bizarro desert radio station, so close to reality. they’re telling a story of a place one week at a time. i like seeing this fictional town unfold as the weeks progress!
Holy moly I'm blown away!

KLAM definitely feels more real than I was prepared for. I found myself guffawing every couple of minutes. Bustin a gut and realizing that I WISH real radio was like this--these people are talking about truths like drought, the insanity of living in the desert, the very real weirdness of coffee and wine culture, and more. Can't wait to meet more towns people and hear more ridiculous wit!!! Also a shoutout to Delilah!! That segment made me cry/laugh. But truly, shoutout to all...beautifully done.
