Từ buổi thảo luận lần trước nói về “Thiểu số Gương mẫu” trong tập Black History Month-Kết Nối Cộng Đồng, để giúp cho khán giả hiểu thêm cũng như có dịp nói về chủ đề “Thiểu số Gương mẫu” trong cộng đồng người Việt. Câu tục ngữ “Có công mài sắt, có ngày nên kim” được dùng để nói về sự siêng năng và cố gắng bền bỉ của cộng đồng người Việt. Chúng ta tự hào làm việc siêng năng, chăm chỉ, đến mức chúng ta coi thường những người “không siêng năng,” Những người đó có thật sự là “không siêng năng” như chúng ta nghĩ? Có thật là cần phải làm việc chăm chỉ mới có được thành công? Cái “gương mẫu” mà chúng ta noi theo có thật sự đáng để ảnh hưởng đến sức khoẻ tâm lý, tinh thần của thế hệ con em sau này? Description]: As a follow-up from February’s episode about Black History month, KNKB wants to shine some light and explore the topic of “Model Minority'' to our Vietnamese communities. There’s a common saying: “Có công mài sắt có ngày nên kim '' which illustrates very well the endurance and the tenacity that is the Vietnamese community. We pride ourselves on working hard, so much so that we don’t respect people that don't. How much of that is true? Does hard work really mean success? How does this “myth” affect the mental health and well-being of the latter generation of Vietnamese American? Lý Thuyết Chủng Tộc (LTCT) là một phương thức lý thuyết và diễn đạt nhằm xem xét sự hiện diện chủng tộc cũng như phân biệt chủng tộc trên các phương diện để biểu lộ văn hóa thống trị. [English] There has been consistent debate on teaching CRT at school. What is CRT? CRT is a theoretical and interpretive mode that examines the appearance of race and racism across dominant cultural modes of expression. After the Black Lives Matter movement, there are increasing fights to change how we teach racism and prejudice in regards to African American History at school. CRT teaches how segregation is heavily embedded into policies and laws that affect the division between communities.
