We’re a group of movie-lovers from Ohio celebrating the awesomeness of Nicolas Cage. We’re on a wild mission to review every film in the Cinematic Cageverse, battling over their merits and finally giving them eternal rest in our glorious Bee Cage of Fame. You definitely wouldn't illegally download Gone in 60 Seconds from the high seas and review it for science and/or comedy. Yes, you guessed correctly. We the Cagefighters review Nicolas Cage's first film of the 21st century -- his car heist smash hit that feels forever stuck in the 90s. Did we like it? Did we love it? Listen and find out. But make it quick, I can hear the fuzz coming.

    Caging Out the Dead

    Nicolas Cage teams up with Martin Scorsese to create one of the weirdest works of EMT fiction to ever hit the big screen. We're talking about 1999's "Bringing Out the Dead," which stars Cage as a burned-out paramedic in Manhattan who is haunted by the patients he failed to save. On the plus side, he does get to drink and do drugs on the job, so we're really not sure what he's complaining about. If only SOMEONE would FIRE HIM, DAMMIT! Hear our rambling takes on Nic Cage's "The Family Man" (2000).  Ever wonder what it's like to wake up from your life as a filthy rich Wall Street banker to a life of poverty, shame and... CHILDREN? Nicolas Cage stars in this Christmas-themed episode of "Outer Limits" that's stretched out to two hours and filled with super sappy love scenes and Don Cheadle as some kind of timelord.  We also discuss Nic Cage's recent announcement that he plans to step away from acting to focus on being a REAL family man.     Christmas in Cage: Trapped in Paradise Review

    Happy Cage-Giving, friends. 'Tis the season for a Cage-y trip down the horrid holiday lane. The first movie of our holiday bunch we subjected our sanity to was St. Nic's 1994 "Trapped in Paradise" -- a Christmas movie so hard to watch it's like being trapped with John Travolta in Hell. Hear us riff on the movie that also stars John Lovitz and Dana Carvey and ask questions about the meaning of life. Why, Nic Cage, why? Was this a "Mandy" prequel? Krampus origin story? The world will never know. But it doesn't matter, because Earth is just one small planet in the vast, infinite Cageverse.
