276: Grow Your Law Firm Using In-House Video Marketing Strategies -- Legal Power Players Interview with Rob Gruler

Come along on this daily journey with Chicago attorney Dave Scriven-Young to discover key principles in the areas of marketing, sales, and leadership.  This episode features my next Legal Power Players interview with Arizona attorney, Rob Gruler.  Rob is an attorney and one of the founding partners of R&R Law Group, a criminal defense law firm located in Scottsdale, Arizona. After years of practicing law, Rob transitioned over to the marketing world and now focuses mainly on helping R&R Law Group grow and thrive as a business. Due to his great success in video marketing, Rob developed the Gruler Method, which is a program designed to teach other law firm owners how to turn their videos into profit. Rob also serves on the Board of Directors of the non-profit organization, Ericshouse.org, focusing on helping those recovering from a tragic loss due to suicide or overdose. In 2019, Rob launched the Clean Slate Sobriety program and travels to substance abuse and treatment centers to help those in the journey of recovery clear their criminal record and move forward with a clean slate. Rob also just released his first book, Beginning to Winning, which provides criminal defense strategies to help individuals begin and win their case! You can learn more about Rob at https://robgruler.com/.

During this interview, we talk about how lawyers can grow their law firms using in-house video marketing strategies, and how Rob himself has used YouTube to dramatically grow his firm.

275: Framework for Selling to Executives - The Three "Doors" of Marketing

275: Framework for Selling to Executives - The Three "Doors" of Marketing

This episode discusses Selling to the C-Suite and addresses the three doors of marketing to executives, which will give us a framework for the rest of our discussion.  First, a "door opener" talks about a problem, makes people aware they have the problem, and gains their interest in finding a solution, which opens their minds to the concept of making a change and spending money.  Second, a "door closer" reinforces the "problem" with a message of how bad the pain is and suggests there is a way to avoid that pain -- a call to action to buy your service.  Third, the "revolving door" comes after a prospect becomes a client and exposes them to a different stream of advertising that shows successful people benefiting from your service and using add-ons that add to their enjoyment (cross-selling).

ATOR ,

Excellent content

I am really enjoying Dave’s excellent Lawyer Lifestyle Podcast. Every episode has a useful, practical professional development tip that can be implemented immediately. My old CRM method consisted of dumping all business cards into a big pile. Dave has given me great ideas for categorizing and managing the contacts in my network in a useful way. Each episode is exactly the right length to fit into my morning or when I’m headed home after work. To be a successful well rounded lawyer you have to be more than just good at lawyering. Dave presents a ton of information that will help you grow and excel professionally.
