Helping leaders, existing and aspiring, to lift themselves and others to new heights.

Do we have enough true leadership in the world? I'm talking about leaders that want to lead in order to make a difference. To help everyone around them do and be better. It is not uncommon to find leaders that are in the game for the power, notoriety, title, money, etc. The pursuit of those for the wrong reasons can easily pull someone away from real leadership. Real leaders lift. They lift themselves and everyone around them.
This podcast is focused on helping current and aspiring leaders with stories, principles, tools, discussion and support - all the things needed to lift themselves and others to new heights.

Digital Nomadism - g4f Tech Show Discussion

This week on the Gadgets for Families Tech show, Jason and I had a pretty lengthy and in-depth conversation about the concept of Digital Nomadism.
What is digital nomadism?Would we consider it?What cultural shifts are or need to take place?
Those are some of the questions we discussed and I thought it was a good topic for this audience as well. I hope you get something out of it.
If you would like to hear the whole conversation you can do so on YouTube or your podcast player.

    Going on Hiatus

    Going on Hiatus

Welcome to Leader's Lift. I'm your host Greg Cunningham.

Today I want to announce that I'm going to be putting a pause on this podcast. I've got several other priorities hitting right now and this is one of the things I have on my plate that falls below the cut off point in my priority list.

I don't think this will be a permanent hiatus and I'm going to leave everything in place to be able to drop a random episode if I have a burning topic that I just want to share with everyone. For the next while, I just won't be committing to any sort of a regular publication schedule.

If you have enjoyed the show, I'd love to get that feedback and if there is something I should consider in the future, please let me know that as well. You can find a contact form on my website at www.mtneboconsulting.com.

I hope that over the last year you have found at least a few things that you are using today to get more out of your own life or to help someone else do so. That was my goal with this. If you have any stories you'd like to share, I'd love to hear those as well.

Until you hear from me again, I hope you will go out there and keep lifting.

    Curiosity as a Skill

    Curiosity as a Skill

    Summary
This week I spend a few minutes talking about why I believe curiosity is an important, yet underdeveloped skill.
    Key Takeaways
Curiosity is more than wanting to know something. It's about wanting to know and then use that knowledge to get more out of life.Everything changes and if you aren't curious, you may just get left behind.Without curiosity, you will never know if you are really getting the most out of life.Curiosity can be developed. If we put in the effort to develop curiosity as a skill, we will move forward down the path to our most potential.
Join me for this curious (pun intended) discussion.

    The Power of Journaling

    The Power of Journaling

    Summary
One of my keys this year is figuring out how to be more deliberate about the most important things I'm working on. If you have that same goal, then a tool that may help you do so is to figure out what kind of journaling works for you.
    Key Takeaways
Journaling has clear advantages like getting thoughts somewhere we can refer to or helping us brainstorm or sort through ideas.First, understand why and what you want to journal. If you are just starting out with journaling, keep it simple.Like your mvp, start with little wins that help you build momentum. My journaling "system" has evolved over time and yours should too.
Join me for the discussion on how I plan to be more deliberate in 2024 through journaling.

    Letting Go & Saying No

    Letting Go & Saying No

    Summary
In part four of this series, let's talk about how letting go actually gains us more (of many things). We have to learn to say no to good and even some pretty great things in order to focus on the things that matter most.
    Key Topics & Time Stamps
    Welcome 00:00Intro 00:27Setting the Stage 02:17Examples 05:01Benefits for Leaders 06:45General Benefits 08:31Wrap Up 11:45
    Key Takeaways
In order to focus on the things that matter most, we are going to have to say no to other things, even good or really good things.Saying no is one way to make significant progress on the path to our most potential and to avoid false progress.Leaders and those they lead can benefit from the leader saying no to things and delegating.Overall we will see less stress and regret if we focus on the things that matter most.

cleverviolin ,

It’s so relevant!

I’ve just listened to the recent episode on finding relevance in what we do, and it was really good! I don’t work in a corporation or really feel like a leader, but Greg did a great job of helping me see how that episode was applicable and relevant (see what I did there?) even for me! Will definitely be listening to more episodes!!!
