Learning How To Menopause With Tamsen Fadal

MOM2MOM with Maria Sansone

Do you forget what you are talking about mid-sentence? What about feeling a sudden hot flash? Low libido? You are not alone; it could be menopause and we're talking about it. It's a stage all women will go through, yet it is met with a lack of information, understanding and whispers...until now!

Award-winning journalist, author, documentarian and women's health advocate Tamsen Fadal left her successful TV news career at 52 to focus on midlife and menopause. The pivot lead her to her latest project, a documentary called The M Factor - Shredding The Silence on Menopause, where she speaks with ordinary women and top doctors to learn the real challenges women face, the mental and physical toll, plus the gaps in medical education. Tamsen is also working on a new book How To Menopause Take Charge of Your Health, Reclaim Your Life, and Feel Even Better than Before. She talks with Maria about:

  • Defines menopause -- symptoms, challenges, duration, etc.
  • Why some doctors are not as familiar with it as you may expect
  • What hormone therapy is & why some people chose it
  • Hormone Therapy
  • What can happen to your body during the different phases: perimenopause, menopause & post-menopause
  • Strategies to mitigate symptoms
  • Ways To Help Combat Symptoms·
