#22 Isabel Venegas Follert, Legal Operations Specialist - Alternative Legal Jobs: Legal Operations & Design Strategist Working Remotely

Continuing our mission to discover and bring to light exciting stories from the legal world, in this episode, I discussed with Isabel Venegas, lawyer and Legal Operations specialist, within a law firm in the sunny city of Barcelona, Spain.

Doing less typical work, Isabel has exciting tasks to perform in her job. From establishing internal processes and rules to managing change in the company or helping to standardise the services within the law firm, Isabel is doing all that while working remotely.

Isabel supports a hybrid schedule, as she confesses that when she needs to do user research or find ways to help lawyers ease their work, she needs to observe how all this work is done precisely. Also, meeting from time to time with the team is suitable for those who still have issues with adopting the remote work, helping everyone align with the mission and values.

If I intrigued you, go and listen to the entire episode and find out more from Isabel:

Why establishing the processes, rules and coordination from the onboarding process is essential.
The importance of setting boundaries when working remotely and being mindful of people's time.
Patience is essential in working remotely.
Her future plans to launch a particular class with Tessa from Legal Creatives about Legal Project management and Legal Design and how these two merge.

Isabel Venegas Follert is a lawyer and a certified Legal Project Manager, Legal Design Expert and Legal Operations specialist, with a Master's degree in International Business Law from ESADE with more than ten years of experience as a legal advisor and strategist for multinational companies in the real estate, mining, construction and M&A sectors. As an innovation seeker, her practice was mainly focused on business development and legal operations for law firms, alternative legal service providers and technology companies in Spain and Latin America.
