Episode Description: Letting go is hard, but often we have to let go of something we’re holding onto if we are going to move into something new, and that can be scary. In this episode, we’ll help you learn to let go, embrace your greatness, and walk confidently into your new season.
Transformation Tip: “The greatest danger in times of turbulence is not the turbulence; it is to act with yesterday's logic.” - Peter Drucker
Oftentimes, you have to let go of something you’re holding onto if you are going to move into something new.
In life, we go through different seasons. These are shifts and changes. Learning to step back and recognize the season that you are in and adjust accordingly is much more advantageous than trying to force things into a season because you want them there.
Holding onto grudges and negative relationships will hold you back from moving forward into new relationships and new freedom
Have grace for yourself. Moving into something new can be scary. Don’t judge a novice engagement using expert criteria. Failure is a part of the journey.
Be wary of imposter syndrome. Identify it and make a choice to become self-aware.
The reason we like to hold onto the old is because of past successes or glories. Remember that you are great. Greatness does not stop in the past; it wants to come with you into your future. It’s not about an event, it’s about you. Embrace your greatness and walk confidently into your next season.
Transformation application: Pause. Take a deep breath in for four counts, hold it for four counts, and then exhale for four counts. While you are inhaling and holding your breath, think of one thing that you want to let go of today. As you exhale, open your hands and choose to emotionally release whatever that thing is. Plan the next step of action, if needed.
