This podcast series is a must for those in recovery and living with mental illness. Her interview style is fresh and on target being recovery focused. First of all, I love Denise. I admire her and enjoy listening to her vast wisdom. Her podcast is fabulous and has such interesting people sharing their experience, strength and hope with us. I highly recommend it!

In order to heal ourselves and others, we have to talk about hard topics: substance abuse, mental health, emotional health…Denise does a fantastic job of shining a light on topics that some may fear to explore, but she does so with guts and honesty. We don’t live in a vacuum and we can’t help others if we don’t allow the truth to be told. Kudos to Denise for a brave podcast that I know will help many!

Denise offers a safe space for an open dialogue on mental health and substance use/alcohol use disorder. She is raising awareness and eliminating stigma in an effort to normalize these chronic and progressive brain disorders through real life stories of recovery. Denise poses thought provoking questions that highlight these disorders in a non judgemental zone, with ease and grace, reminding us that we are not defined by our disorders, and illuminates the beauty of the human condition, body, mind and spirit. Denise encourages us to stand in our power in recovery through sharing our journey.
