Having moved from Kolkata to Bangkok in 2007, Gaggan opened his eponymous restaurant in Bangkok in 2010 and went on to win the title of Asia's Best Restaurant in 2015, 2016, 2017 and 2018. In 2019, he fell out with his business partners and closed the restaurant, separating from his wife at the same time. Then came the global pandemic. Now Gaggan is back and ready for new levels of success, with the 2.0 version of his restaurant winning all the accolades.
