Good stuff but…

Please stop the “Vocal Fry”, the “Upspeak” and the repetitive use of the word “like” that are so often used by presenters. It makes them sound like high school teenagers. Especially the younger presenters. It’s ok to make a declarative statement sometimes. Presenters would benefit from paying attention to how professional NPR newscasters speak.

Mariel Segarrrrrrrrra... Why did you start doing this? It crosses my mind that someone wanted to emphasize your Hispanic heritage. Thats truly cool but it's a major overkill. I feel like I am being forced to listen to someone have an orgasm every time they say their own name.

I like the conversational style of the presenters and I think it is appropriate, as this is a lifestyle show, not a news show. Anyone who has problems with vocal fry and upspeak should listen to the 2015 NPR segment on vocal fry: “From Upspeak To Vocal Fry: Are We 'Policing' Young Women's Voices?”
